Penis Size Survey Conclusions
The data collected in this survey highlights the high degree of variability in erect penis sizes and is consistent with the results of a number of previous studies. Given the wide range of penis sizes, and the relatively narrow size range of condoms designed to fit them, it is perhaps unsurprising to find that 50% of respondents felt that the condoms they use did not fit them properly. The answers they have provided also indicate that condoms which don’t fit properly are more likely to break during use – although, keeping this in perspective, over half of the respondents had never experienced breakage or slippage with the brand of condom they use and only 6% regularly experienced condom failure.
There was a clear desire from those taking part in the study for condoms with a better shape to improve fit. Some condom manufacturers are beginning to address these issues by developing products specifically to address different penis sizes and shapes.
The launch of a new larger condom by Durex, for example, has addressed the needs of men with larger than average sized penis. Durex Comfort (or ULTRA COMFORT in the US) has a unique larger shape designed to give a better fit and feel during love making.
